Need a duffel with lots of space, but want something lightweight? The Yuzu Large Duffel is the perfect answer! This bag has 2 main compartments with tons of room so the packer can separate shoes from clothes, or dirty from clean clothes. It also has a small zip pocket on the front for last minute accessories. I use this bag all the time and it never gets dirty. It also comes in many great colors. This is the best large lightweight duffel out there!
Perfect For:
The Yuzu Large Duffel would be perfect for college students’ weekend trips home or visiting friends. It is also perfect for a weekend at the shore. This is my main weekend trip bag. I can fit everything I need in it and then I only have to bring one bag!
Favorite Feature:
I love the separate compartments. Having two main compartments to work with is so convenient.

This Mulholland Brothers Hackle Tote has a rugged-textured leather that is so beautiful and a bright orange nylon lining that is ‘eye-popping’ in color. I just had to have it!
PERFECT FOR:
I use this bag every day - it goes with me wherever I go. The large size (14″ x 14″ x 7″) will accommodate my newspaper, lunch, and all the other “stuff” I somehow can’t be without. It has a few interior compartments for things such as pens and your wallet, a large interior zipper along one side and a convenient cell phone pocket on the outside.
FAVORITE FEATURE:
I’ve received many compliments from people who’ve stopped me to inquire where they can buy this tote. In my opinion the favorite feature of this bag is the great “look/style” that everyone seems to love, including myself.
DRAWBACK:
Not large enough to carry my 12-year old, 24 lb pug, Lana
BOTTOM LINE:
With minimum amount of maintainence, this bag still looks fabulous and I’ve used it every day since July 2006!

Briggs & Riley appeals to me because of it’s clean lines and understated appearance. I chose the olive because it is much more attractive than your everyday black case. The external handle system is what really sold me on this bag because you gain much more packing space and we all know how important that is!
Perfect For
This Briggs & Riley carry-on is my one and only suitcase. It is great for weekend trips and it even allows me enough room to pack for full week trips. The internal pockets and compartments make organizing for your trip a breeze. With the internal suiter you can bring along your best attire for a night out on the town. This bag is great for a business man or a beach bum.
Favorite Feature
The best feature of this bag is Briggs’ ingenious idea to have the telescoping handle on the outside. It may not sound like much but every bit of space counts, when your like me and need all the room that you can get. I don’t like to check my luggage because I don’t like the extra time involved. This feature, with the handle on the outside of the case, allows me to take much more along for my trips. [Read more →]

The JanSport Super Break Collection Packing Cube Set makes hectic last minute weekend trips for an unorganized flake manageable. Normal people would probably like them too.
Perfect For
These are perfect for any length trip. Personally, I don’t make a ton of big trips, but I do hop on a train to visit family and friends for a weekend quite often. I have a hard time staying organized—especially since a lot of the times my plans are made at the last minute! These are also great for longer trips, especially at the airport because the mesh covers give the TSA less reason to go through everything you own piece by piece.
Favorite Feature
Torn between the cute patterns (Chocolate Chip Pink Daiquiri 2 Square FTW!) and the convenient mesh covers (TSA friendly), I’d have to say that my favorite thing about these cubes is that they make packing into an oddly shaped bag a lot easier. [Read more →]

The Eagle Creek Centerline Load Warrior 25″ is the ultimate answer for the lightest and most durable luggage. This luggage packs like an upright but is lightweight like a duffel. At just over 7 lbs, this upright will hold all of your packing needs and stay within the 50 lb weight limit. Our family takes many ski trips, this bag holds all our ski-wear and still remains within the weight limit… unbelievable! The Centerline Load Warrior comes in a variety of sizes for all your travel needs but I personally find that the 25″ is the perfect size for a week’s vacation.
Perfect For
Anyone who is looking for the lightest weight luggage that will hold up to the rigors of airline bag handlers. With its’ two tone color palette, it is very easy to spot on the airline carousel.
Favorite Feature
This bag is amazingly durable, considering how lightweight it is. Our family is not exactly delicate with our luggage and this bag takes a beating from us and the airlines but still comes out looking great.
Drawbacks
The only drawback might be the lack of interior pockets. However, if it had these pockets then it wouldn’t be as lightweight.
Bottom Line:
This luggage may be a bit pricier than some of the competitors but no one can compete with the weight and durability of this Centerline Load Warrior. It has been the best investment for my family. When my kids go off to camp, they will be getting their own Eagle Creek luggage. I’m keeping mine!

The Bedford Nylon collection by MZ Wallace is the ultimate in effortless style. The “Alex” is a fantastic and attractive alternative to a traditional workbag/briefcase. My job does not require a briefcase and personally I am not into over-sized handbags. So, on some days when I need to tote papers and folders to and from work, I use Alex. However, its lightweight material and multiple carry options (it can be handheld, worn on your shoulder, or cross body by attaching the removable strap) make it the perfect option for when I am on my feet all day at industry trade shows, or for walking around New York City. Nobody wants to sacrifice comfort for style- except when it comes to shoes, of course- therefore Alex really has it all!
Perfect for:
Any chic working woman who doesn’t need to carry a laptop or a heavy load of paperwork.
Favorite feature:
The hot pink satin lining that adds a surprise pop of color. Also, because it is lined in satin, I feel better about throwing sensitive gadgets like my iPhone or CDs right into it.
Drawbacks:
If you are not highly organized, Alex’s triple compartment style can become frustrating: “Just where did I put my Orbit gum?”
Bottom line:
Alex is a fantastically functional classic!
