Need a duffel with lots of space, but want something lightweight? The Yuzu Large Duffel is the perfect answer! This bag has 2 main compartments with tons of room so the packer can separate shoes from clothes, or dirty from clean clothes. It also has a small zip pocket on the front for last minute accessories. I use this bag all the time and it never gets dirty. It also comes in many great colors. This is the best large lightweight duffel out there!
Perfect For:
The Yuzu Large Duffel would be perfect for college students’ weekend trips home or visiting friends. It is also perfect for a weekend at the shore. This is my main weekend trip bag. I can fit everything I need in it and then I only have to bring one bag!
Favorite Feature:
I love the separate compartments. Having two main compartments to work with is so convenient.

The Eagle Creek Centerline Load Warrior 25″ is the ultimate answer for the lightest and most durable luggage. This luggage packs like an upright but is lightweight like a duffel. At just over 7 lbs, this upright will hold all of your packing needs and stay within the 50 lb weight limit. Our family takes many ski trips, this bag holds all our ski-wear and still remains within the weight limit… unbelievable! The Centerline Load Warrior comes in a variety of sizes for all your travel needs but I personally find that the 25″ is the perfect size for a week’s vacation.
Perfect For
Anyone who is looking for the lightest weight luggage that will hold up to the rigors of airline bag handlers. With its’ two tone color palette, it is very easy to spot on the airline carousel.
Favorite Feature
This bag is amazingly durable, considering how lightweight it is. Our family is not exactly delicate with our luggage and this bag takes a beating from us and the airlines but still comes out looking great.
Drawbacks
The only drawback might be the lack of interior pockets. However, if it had these pockets then it wouldn’t be as lightweight.
Bottom Line:
This luggage may be a bit pricier than some of the competitors but no one can compete with the weight and durability of this Centerline Load Warrior. It has been the best investment for my family. When my kids go off to camp, they will be getting their own Eagle Creek luggage. I’m keeping mine!

This Kipling 24 inch duffle bag is great for my travels between my apartment at college and home. I am only going home for a night or two at a time, so I usually only carry with me about two or three outfits, two pair of shoes, and occasionally a sweatshirt. In addition to clothing, I also toss in some toiletries and if i’m lucky enough to remember, my cell phone charger. The bag is easy to carry around, stylish, and allows me to pack fast!
Perfect For:
This Kipling Duffle Bag if perfect for the college student on the go or anyone looking for a comfortable light-weight bag for frequent use. The bag can easily carry 3 outfits so is not only good for weekend trips but week trips to sleep-away camp as well. This bag comes in numerous colors so its great for kids, young adults or the frequent flyer who wants to easily locate their bag at the airport. This Kipling bag is an extremely durable and lightweight nylon, like a parachute so it’s perfect for anyone looking for that lightweight bag.
Favorite Feature:
My favorite feature is, without a doubt, the exterior pockets! The pockets run from the base of the bag all the way to the top. They give me plenty of packing space, allowing me to store my shoes seperately from everything else to make sure that they [Read more →]

This Boyt Edge carry duffle has a beautiful poly-suede fabric that says this is more than just a luggage item. It’s got a great look to it, it works great and it’s the perfect carry-on size. I have the larger version of this bag and I use it for all of my weekend trips or overnights trips that I take.
Perfect For (whom/what):
This carry duffle is perfect to carry-on a plane or take on a train and it will also fit right under the seat in front of you. This way you don’t have to worry about putting it in the overhead. You can fit all of your carry-on items such as some snacks, books, a change of clothes and much more into this bag. It is great for both men and women who want a different looking bag. You can use it for the gym, an overnight bag, a weekend trip, carry-on or anything else that you can think of.
Favorite Feature:
Besides the nice poly-suede fabric, my favorite feature of this bag is the back panel/slot, which is used to [Read more →]

With airline regulations changing all the time it is so hard to decide what bag to buy. All airlines are charging fees if bags are overweight (most over 50 pounds) and some are now charging for EVERY bag you check. So now the dilemma is, which way do you go and what is the best way to be able to take the most on your trip while being charged as little as possible?
Let’s start with this. If you can get a 22″ wheeled carry-on bag, (or a 20” for international travel), that does not have a lot of structure to it and only take what can fit into that bag, you will be in great shape. Just remember if you pick this option you can only take liquids that fit into a quart size plastic bag.
If you can not handle that limited selection of clothes and shoes, your next best option is a lightweight 30″ wheeled duffle or a 28″ suitcase that only starts out at about 10 pounds, which is a lot less than most brands. I use the Eagle Creek Centerline 28″ suitcase and I love it! One time we were going away and I had all of my things packed into a 26″ older upright suitcase that started out heavier and when I put it on the scale it was over 50 lbs. I then took all of my things out and put it into my Eagle Creek suitcase and I had no problem! I think you will find the weight to be such an advantage to you. The organization is nice and the quality is excellent! Now, why don’t you give it a try!
