Ever wanted to spend a weekend in space? You will be able to do just that in 2012 when Galactic Suite Space Resort, the world’s first commercial space hotel, is set to open. The idea of Galactic Suites was created by Barcelona, Spain-based architects of the Galactic Suite company. Galatic Suites LTD’s CEO Xavier Claramunt has said that if this project is completed his company will be the leader in this new industry.  If and when the hotel does open, it will only cost you mere $4.4 million dollars for a 3 night stay! Apparently, they already have 43 reservations. Claramunt has told reporters,  “It is very normal to think that your children, possibly within 15 years, could spend a weekend in space.” What are you waiting for? Fork over your $4.4 million and get your reservation in today!!
